The 8th and final episode of the #HKAGE X #ASTRI #Technovation Talk series has now been completed. We were thrilled to have over 120 students joining us in this final #Fintech session, titled “The Digital Assets: Non-Fungible Token (#NFT) and Central Bank Digital Currency (#CBDC)”, on a special #ChristmasEve.
For this session, we invited fintech expert Dr Kam Hong Shum to talk about CBDC and blockchain expert Mr Chan Fai Lam to talk about NFTs. Students were introduced to the benefits of #blockchain technology, definitions of #smartcontracts and NFTs, and concepts of #digitalcurrency. They also learned about evolving technologies driving #electronic payments (#epayments), and the basic principles underlying CBDC design.
Since its launch in July, the series of eight talks would not have been possible without the hard work of the HKAGE and ASTRI teams. Huge thanks to the HKAGE team for helping us make the talks such a success!
