The collective efforts from the #Government, #regulators and #industryplayers have driven the growth of #FinTech #innovations and #adoption in recent years. To support them, #ASTRI has unveiled a plethora of initiatives to develop and deliver fintech innovations, foster fintech #talents, and help the industry embrace technological adoption.

Mr Christopher Hui, JP, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury; Ms Salina Yan, JP, Permanent Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury (Financial Services); Mr Joseph HL Chan, JP, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury; Mr Desmond Wu, Principal Assistant Secretary (Financial Services); and Mr Julian Ip, Political Assistant to Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury were warmly received by our Chairman Ir Sunny Lee, JP, CEO Dr Denis Yip 葉成輝, COO Dr Martin Szeto, CTO Dr Lucas Chi-Kwong Hui, and Mr Alan Cheung, Senior Director, Cybersecurity, Cryptography and Trusted Technologies. We had a great discussion on the #opportunity and #development of fintech, and how to drive the #digitaleconomy of the future through fintech innovations.

ASTRI is committed to expanding its innovation in fintech, one of its five key focus areas. For example, in collaboration with industry partners, ASTRI has launched privacy-preserving #federatedlearning technology that utilises alternative data to facilitate #SMEs’ credit risk assessment while protecting #privacy and #datasecurity.

ASTRI is also committed to cultivating #techtalent. This coming January, we will launch the #Fintech #FutureLeader #Acadamy, which will provide local #youngsters with hands-on experience in the I&T industry. Participants will learn about the current development of and prospects in the I&T industry through a series of enrichment activities.

In addition, ASTRI is forming a #FintechEcosystemAlliance, which is a platform for knowledge exchange and for strengthening collaboration that will help to create a #sustainable fintech ecosystem.
