【What is green finance? What can ASTRI offer? 】
The government issued green retail bonds for the first time in May this year, aiming to build Hong Kong into a green financial centre, and sustainable finance has become a market trend. In order to assist enterprises and institutions to promote the development of green finance in the longer term, ASTRI has developed carbon-neutral products to promote green development through technological research and development in response to the market’s demand for green innovation.
ASTRI has diverse new ideas to make Hong Kong become a versatile green city. We start from the aspects of the carbon market, ESG, alternative data, etc., to construct the “ESG report AI analysis” solution and the ” federated learning ” solution.
Thank you TVB (Television Broadcasts Limited) for inviting Mr. Alan Cheung, Senior Director of ASTRI, to attend the seminar “Coping with Climate Change and Creating a Sustainable Future”. From the perspective of technology-driven corporate ESG, he has discussed with the participants about ESG investment and corporate governance under the trend of sustainable finance. He also mentioned the difficulties faced in developing ESG in Hong Kong; the assistance needed in the level of technology research and the technology required in the plan.
Alan mentioned that we need to take advantage of Hong Kong’s status as an international financial centre to provide professional ESG standards and auditing, and to accelerate the education and training of ESG and green finance talents; sustainable development needs an ecosystem that brings all stakeholders together.
